Priddy Meeks

Priddy Meeks (August 29, 1795 - October 7, 1886) was an American frontier doctor who developed into a minor folk hero and villain. Occasionally a character in Mormon literature such as the short story "They Did Go Forth" by Maurine Whipple. His writing was included in the seminal Mormon anthology ''A Believing People''.
He founded the town of Winsor in present-day Mount Carmel Junction, Utah and is associated with the founding of Utah's Dixie generally.
